Apprentice Machinist Engineer Required

Working closely with experienced and qualified staff you will develop your knowledge of Mechanical manufacturing to:

  • Manual milling, turning, lathe, grinding and using hand tools
  • Interpret drawings to develop your skills and knowledge to manufacture a range of products and bespoke engineering solutions for our clients
  • Using a wide and varied range of machines
  • CNC setting and programming
  • Produce a wide and varied range of component parts and products small and large scale
  • Small machine works and progressing to much larger machine work
  • Using a range of materials
  • Repair a range of equipment
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety standards are maintained and that you show due diligence at all times
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures e.g. health and safety, training & development, quality, disciplinary & grievance and sickness & absence etc.
  • To carry out any other reasonable requests to meet the needs of the business

Desired qualifications

5 GCSE grades C / 4 or equivalent including English, Maths and Science.

Future prospects

  • Apprenticeship may lead to permanent employment
  • Further in-house and external training and development available. Potential L4 / HNC for the right candidate at the right time

Things to consider

  • Salary – £5.25 per hr
  • Travel allowance whilst attending training
  • Salary has an annual review throughout the duration of the apprenticeship
